Walkthrough Aveyond2

Buat temen-temen yg suka ama game RPG, gw punya walkthrough Aveyond2. Ya lumayan lah buat mempermudah..hehheehhe...semoga membantu...
Aveyond 2 Walkthrough

You being the game in your bedroom in your home town. Go into the next room and speak to your mother, who will give you a quest to collect honeycomb.

Travel outside of the house and wander through the town. There is a chest northeast of the house that has 20 gold pieces. Do not purchase the hunting knife in the general store as you will find one very soon!

Talk to everyone in town.

A new feature in this version of Aveyond is the statue that is found in every(?) town. You can leave a donation (10 gold coins) for the statue and you will gain "karma points". When you reach the maximum level of karma points , you will receive a gift! You can donate 10 gold coins to the statue at this point if you wish. (I did)

After you've visited everyone in town, head back to your house and follow the trail to the west of the house north into the woods.

There are several treasure chests in the woods with gold, bread and a hunting knife. There are no mobs yet to kill in these wilds, so wander through them and find all of the chests. (Make sure you equip the knife when you get it!) If you head west and south, you will eventually come to the beehive. Do not enter this area until you have met up with Iya and she has joined your party.

To find Iya, follow the trail around to the east / northeast and it will lead you to the Elder Oak tree. Iya is there waiting for you. Talk to her and she will join your formation.

Travel back along the trail and west of the entrance to the woods until you come to the beehive. Enter the hive and kill the few bees that are there. Make sure you loot their corpses for gold. When you get to the end of the tunnel, you will see the Queen Bee. Press enter or space to "speak" and then the battle will begin.

Collect the honeycomb from the tall yellow thing behind where the Queen Bee was and exit the hive. (Note - you can head back to town now, or you can re-enter the hive and continue to fight the bees and gain a few levels and some gold here!) To make the bees "re-pop", exit the hive and re-enter it as many times as you wish.

Head back to town and give your mother the honeycomb.

Go to your bed and sleep.

At this point, there is a dream sequence and you will wake to a new crisis. The town is covered with snow and everyone is worried about what caused it. Iya is missing and worse, no one seems to even recall who she is! Talk to everyone in town, including the elders (south of your house). Make sure you talk to Iya's grandmother in her house. This will launch a secondary sequence in which you can search Iya's room and find a ribbon! You'll need this later so don't forget!

After you have the ribbon and you've spoken to everyone, purchase some bread and boots from the store (equip the boots!) and head back to the Elder Oak.

Before you get to the tree, decide if you want to level up a bit more (with the bees), as you will be transported to a new area as soon as you talk to the tree!
The Land of Man

After talking to the Elder Tree, you are transported to the Land of Man. Your quest is to find Ishtar and Iya, but it will not be easy.

Exit the tree area to the south and you will see the world map. From here, the only option is to head east and into the woods to the north, over the bridge.

The first thing you will encounter is a green dragonfly mob. From Grimm's Hatchery!) Not too hard, so kill it. There is a chest along the path with 2 haunches in it. These restore lots of HP so make sure you get them.

You will see squirrels running through the woods. These are just for decoration, they cannot be killed.

There are also foxes which are a bit harder than the green dragonflies. As long as they are alone, you should be able to kill them easily.

The best bet at this point (assuming you are level 5 or under still) is to follow the path and not explore the areas off the pathway just yet. Continue along the path into the town.

Near the end of the path, there is a cave to the north with a travel crystal in it. This cannot be used yet, but remember where it is.

Once you are off the path and back onto the world map, the only choice is to go back to the path or to the town that lies northeast. Head there and you'll find yourself in the town of Ravenwood
Ravenwood

Speak to all of the villagers in town. One will tell you of a woodsman that lives in Shadow Woods who has a canoe and could take you north to Ryva.

You will hear a story of a man named Herbert who went into the woods but never returned. Some of them will tell of a beast that lives in the woods and attacks villagers.

Head into the Inn and go upstairs (whether you need to sleep or not). There is a treasure chest between the beds with 20 gold coins.

There is a shop which sells general items (food, cassia leaves, marsh tea) and equipment. You'll need to purchase the claw and armor. (You should have a shield already from one of the earlier treasure chests!). If you need more gold, go back into the woods and kill foxes and green dragonflies until you have enough gold.

There is a donation statue in town as well. Donate 10 coins for a karma increase.

When you've got all the equipment you need, have levelled up a bit from the mobs in the forest and have food / herbs in your inventory, head through the woods to find the woodsman with the canoe.

To find the woodsman's house, follow the path through the woods until you see a break in the treeline to the north. You will encounter a group of 3 mobs (one fox, 2 green dragonflies) right away. They aren't too tough, but if you have the claw, it will go much better!

Follow this unmarked trail around and you'll come to the woodsman's house. There is a chest just to the north of the house that has a haunch in it. There are several foxes running around, kill them if you can. (If you can't, then I suggest you level up a bit before proceeding!)

You can explore the woods to the north of the woodsman's house for leveling, treasure chests, etc. If you find the cave at the end of one of the paths, (the one that says "this is a very dangerous cave,do you want to save your game?") do not enter it unless you have already spoken to the woodsman! Trust me. lol. The beast in there will eat you with no chance to battle or escape.

I leveled up to level 8 before talking to the woodsman. Select news and he will tell you that he is going to lay a trap for the beast that is attacking the villagers. You see the canoe in his house but he doesn't say anything about it and you cannot take it. The woodsman leaves his house and tells you to find your own way out.

Follow the path that leads west from the house. Head north as it heads north, up the stairs and around to the east. Head east / southeast until you come to the cave with the beast once again. Save your game and enter the cave.

You get to trap the beast!

Head into the cave and walk up the steps, over the bridge and up the next set of stairs. Push the boulder so that it falls onto the path by the beast and destroys the other boulder. Head down the steps and get a bit closer to the beast, so that it chases you. Run across the bridge and hit the switch just as the beast is in the middle of the bridge and he will fall into the trap. You may have to try it a few times to get the timing right.

Before you leave the cave, follow the path around past where the beast was again and go into the small chamber. A scene will play with the woodsman and you will get the transfigurine. As you leave the cave, watch the path back to town carefully. There is an elf transfigurine outside the cave along the path. Pick it up. You can now change shapes between the beast and the elf, each with different skills. The beast's skill is "claw" allowing Ean to attack an entire group with one blow. Very useful!

Stop at the woodsman's cottage and get the canoe (he doesn't need it anymore, he's dead!) You will have to place the canoe in the river, but you don't really have to do anything. When you go to the world map again, you will see the canoe already in the river.

Head back to Ravenwood to share the news. Find Hector (in the house furthest to the east) and tell him where to find the beast.

You can go back to the cave to see the Hector and another villager are there and will tell you that they're going to take the beast back to the village and decide what to do with it.
Ryva

Once back on the world map, you will see your canoe in the river. Follow it around the bend and you can stop at the first cave entrance that you see. When you go in, you will see that it is the entrance to the underworld and there is a monster (who looks like Ahriman from the other games). When you try to talk to him, he holds out a bony hand and wants something. What is unknown at this point.

Travel in the canoe until you come to an entrance into a forest, just north of the underworld cave.

The crows that fly across the path will attack and they are harder than the mobs we've encountered so far. However, this is a great place to get a few levels as they give a decent amount of experience! The first treasure chest contains 35 gold and a haunch.

Follow the road south to head to Ryva.

Once you come to Ryva, talk to all of the villagers. One will tell you a bit more about Ishtar, the Snow Queen. Oddly, there are clothing items scattered about the village. You can't pick them up though so not sure what they are for yet! Go into the inn and go up the steps. There is a treasure chest with 30 gold between the beds.

You will meet a boy who lost his book and get another hint that he was seen reading near the waterfall. Another villager will tell you of a boulder blocking the way to Thais.

To get the book, exit the village to the east and go north back into the woods area. Cross the bridge and head east. Follow the river and you will come to a waterfall. The red thing on the ground is Aidan's book. Return it to him for 75 gold coins.

This is a good time to spend awhile leveling. I suggest leveling at least up to level 15 here (though closer to 20 will help in the next area). The chickens and crows offer a decent amount of experience and the nearby town has an inn. Also, wander through the woods as there are several treasure chests to be found!

You should also see a cave, north of the bridge as you re-enter the woods from Ryva that has a transport crystal. This will take you to several locations, as long as you have visited them already.

Shaenlir

Once you've leveled up a bit and have stocked up on items and eq, travel north to Shaenlir. Snow frogs and Ice Birds (also from Grimm's Hatchery!) are tough, so either shift into the beast when fighting groups, or level up some more!

Before heading into the city, explore the wilds as there are a lot of treasure chests to be found. An ice amulet in one of the chests will help protect you from ice and cold attacks.

When you get to the city ot Shaenlir, talk to everyone and explore all of the buildings. There is new equipment and armor to be had as well as some interesting information. (Pick up the Black Oak Bow and an extra set of armor for Rye when he joins the party later on! You will find them later on in some treasure chests, but I wanted them before I even got there, so I didn't mind spending the extra cash) Several people will tell you that the new princess has ears just like yours - could it be Iya? In one of the last homes, a woman will tell you about a music box that made a horrible noise so she sold it to the general store, and the youngster upstairs will be sad that her music box is gone. Hmm what to do. lol.

In one of the empty homes you will find slave clothing - and, oddly enough, the guards outside the castle say that only servants and nobles are allowed inside! What a synchronicity!

Head to the general store and buy the music box for 10 gold. (It's the shop right by the entrance to the city). Bring the box back to the child and she'll give you 50 gold. Yay!

Don the slave outfit and head to the castle.

Wander around and you'll find Iya and have a conversation with her. Hopefully you got the ribbon in the Vale, you'll need it here. Leave Iya's room when she tells you to, and a cut scene will start. You'll overhear a conversation between the Ice Queen and her Master at Arms. Interesting! The plot thickens!

Your quest is now to warn the other kingdoms about the Ice Queen's evil plan. Head back to Ryva. On the way, spend some time fighting the snow frogs and ice birds, to pick up another level or two!

Warn the Kingdoms

Head back to Ryva and talk to Rye again. This time he will join your party and you can head off to Thais together. He will bring the dynamite to get rid of the boulder blocking the river. You will really want to be at least level 17 for the next area, though level 20 would be much better.

If you didn't pick up the Black Oak Bow while you were in Shaenlir, go back and get it now, as it is the preferred weapon for Rye. Also get him a set of armor and then head off down the river to Thais. Destroy the boulder and you can continue along through the lake.

There is really only one good spot to get off the canoe - on the southern edge. The first area that you will enter is the Green Weed Fields. You will face tough mobs here - bears (that can do upwards of 55pts of damage! and purple sperms - err wait.. are those snakes? Yeah.. snakes thats it.. lol). They are tough and travel in packs. Hopefully you leveled up considerable (at least eighteen) before coming here. If not, go back to Shaenlir and get a few more levels!

Wander around the fields and collect the items from the treasure chests, then head along the path toward Thais. *You will even find an item called Mugwort in one of the chests. This can be used once to give one of your characters a permanent +5 to strength!*

There are a lot of things to buy in Thais! New armor and equipment, spells and scrolls, food, herbs, etc. A good plan is to stop at the inn, upgrade your EQ and head back to the fields to get a few levels (I'm going for level 25 at this point) before doing anything else.

When you're ready to fully explore Thais, head back to town and start talking to people. There is a lot going on here!

In one house, you'll talk to the old clockmaker's daughter. She'll tell you that the new clockmaker is trying to take over the mansion and she cannot find the deed. Go into the other room and you'll see a clock moving animatedly upon the wall. Look around the room and find the clock key. Go back to the clock and use the key. It will open a compartment and you'll find the deed. Return it to the girl upstairs for a prize! (Thunderstorm spell that you can't use yet)

When you explore the sewers you'll see a statue of a boy. The thief in the room will tell you what happened. Later on in the game you'll be able to save the boy.

Explore the Castle and talk to the princes and the King and Queen. They will not believe your warnings about the Ice Queen though, so when you're done exploring, leave the castle for the time being.

While exploring the city, make sure you "talk" to the clock in the southeastern corner of town. lol.

When you're done exploring the city, head back into the castle and return to the throne room. Talk to the prince and find that the King and Queen have left for the ball! High-tail it back to Shaenlir to rescue them and Iya!

Rescue Iya from Shaenlir

Head back to Shaenlir. Make sure you stop at the inn and stock up on restoratives. Put on your servant outfit and head back into the castle. Check around the rooms and look for a magic mirror on the floor. Take it to Iya and show her what's really going on. It takes some convincing but Iya finally decides to leave with you.

Head back to the castle kitchen and Iya will open a secret doorway into the sewers. Explore the sewers and find all the treasure chests. Equip Iya with the new items. Look for a switch that will open the gate by the beds and then you can escape through that doorway out into the wilds.

Transform Ean into the beast once you're outside and prepare for some tough battles! Equip any ice amulets that you have.

Once you make it by the wyverns, Iya will collapse and you'll have to drag her into the nearby house. A hedge witch inside will help her for now, but inform you that you need to find 6 different nymphs and get a blessing from each one to help restore Iya's spirit.

Continue along the path by the house and you will come out on the snowy mountain outside of Shaenlir. From there, make your way back to Thais.

Head to the castle (stopping at the shops and inn if you need to) and talk to Prince Ulthar. He'll give you a new quest to deliver a letter to Ella of Candar.

Before you head off to Candar, you can do a few things. First, Iya can join a magic guild now. There is one in Thais (in the house where the guy looks familiar). She'll have to battle him alone (and its tough!) but she can then become a chaos mage.

What I suggest is to head out into the world map and find the path that is blocked by a small pile of stones. You now have another stick of dynamite in your inventory and you can clear the way. Use this area to level up a bit more (30 would be good here), going back to the inn and shops in Thais when you need to refresh. You can pick up a set of serpent amulets (resist poison) for the caves in Thais.

Here's another hint.. lol. When wandering through the caves and wilds, you will eventually come to a tall, golden colored monster standing in a small glade. If you're not at least level 28-30, don't go near it. Just run away! lol. It is a cyclops and you will get a cyclops transifgurine from him, but he's very hard to kill. All three in my party were level 25 and I only escaped thanks to the tons of restoratives that I had in my inventory! But then, you still have to get back out of the area and back to the city!

When you've gotten to level 30 (+or- a few), it's time to head into Toadstump Marsh and Bogwood, to meet the first of the Nymphs to help Iya. It would be a very good idea to head back to Thais and visit the inn and shops first though!
Toadstump Marsh and Bogwood

The mobs in Toadstump Marsh can be tough, as they tend to travel in packs, but they're also a bit slow so you can avoid them for the most part. Watch out for the flying toads though as they can put your entire party to sleep!

To get through the marsh quickly and into Bogwood, head east and south, basically. You'll cross a few bridges and dodge a lot of mobs, but you'll come out back on the worldmap and see the entrance to the town of Bogwood - the Witch village.

There are a few convoluted little quests to do here. First, you meet up with Heptitus the Nymph of Wickedness. She won't bestow her blessing onto Iya unless you do her a favor. You need to secure her an acting agent. Before the agent will take on Heptitus as a client though, you'll need to get an actors guild card for the nymph. More on that in a bit.

Talk to all the people in the village and you'll soon uncover the report card quest. Talk to the girls outside the school to learn that Mimpsey stole the report card. Talk to Mimpsey outside the acting guild and she'll taunt you. Go to Mimpsey's house and speak with her mother, check the nearby table for the report card. Go back to the school and talk to the Charms teacher inside. He says that he will speak to Mimpsey's mother only after you help him by getting him some swamp slime. Yay!.

Head back into the Toadstump Marsh and kill a few of the slime monsters. They will drop the slime for you to get and bring back to the charms teacher. When you give the charms teacher the slime, he will leave and go talk to Mimpsey's mother. Head back to that house and when you enter, you'll see the mother, Gretel and the teacher. Talk to the mother and she'll give you the actors guild card.

Travel back to Heptitus' house and give her the card. She won't give her blessing as promised, but you can find something in the house that will do the trick after she leaves.

Before you leave this area, talk to Helga. She needs a warty toad to win the witch ugly pageant! You can find the toad in the northern area of Toadstump Marsh. Bring it to her and she'll give you a softening cream (you can use this on the boy statue back in Thais!)

Hilda, who is near the actors guild building wants Calliope's wand to use for a love spell. You can also find this in the southern part of Toadstump Marsh. Bring her the wand to see a special cut scene.

If you want to rescue Jack, head back to Thais and into the sewers. Find his statue again and use the softening cream. He will run off as soon as he's free. However, he'll be caught and end up in the city jail. You can travel to the jail and bribe the guard to let him free. Jack will join your party. He can be useful, as a picklock he is the only way you'll be able to open the blue treasure chests, but you do not need to have him in your party. It's optional.

Now it's time to head to Candar! Rest up and restock in Thais, make sure you get some EQ for Gavin! Then head into the woods north of Thais.

Candar

To get to Candar, you'll need to navigate the woods north of Thais. You'll see a sign that says Candar - North and Grimm's Farm - East. You can head over to the farm and check it out, but you can't do much with it until later in the game.

Wander through the woods extensively as there are many treasure chests to be found, and some great gold and exp from the mobs! Return to Thais to heal up and restock when you're ready to go up to Candar.

After exploring the woods, you probably noticed that the road through to the north is blocked by Shaenlir guards. No worries though, you can go around them by heading north / east / north ish through the woods off the main pathway. You'll come out in an area and see the guards to the south!

After the road takes a sharp turn to the west, you'll see a cave entrance on the northern edge of the path. Head in there to activate the travel crystal then follow the path north to Candar!

There are lots of little things to do and learn in Candar.

There is a jeweler in a house who says that he has no gems to carve. Keep that in mind for later in the game!

There is a dressmaker, Lenora, who will need silk later in the game as well.

There is a person selling gold rings in the street, you can buy one for Iya, but they cost 500 gold. (this may be necessary though to get the special romantic ending of the game).

There are 2 fighting romance novel writers that live in Candar. One of them, Ivanna, is wandering near the entrance to the city and will tell you that her latest manuscript is missing. The other, Beatrice, is in her house in the northern part of the city. When you look around her house, you'll see Ivanna's manuscript on a table, but you cant take it while she's there.

Check all of the homes for treasure chests and other stories / quests. When you get to the castle, check both rooms on either side of the throne room. One has a chest with plate mail and the other has a nice cash bonus and a second chest!

Visit Ella in the castle and deliver her letter from Ulthar. She will give you another letter to bring back to him in Thais.

After you're done exploring here, exit the city but then go right back in. Beatrice will now be in the center of town doing a book signing. While she's not in her house, go there and grab Ivanna's manuscript and bring it to her. She'll reward you with a luck amulet!

At this point, I went back to Thais and had Iya complete the Chaos Mage challenge. Look for the chaos mage in the house near the inn. She has to fight him alone but at level 30, it was easy! Use the Ice spell on him, as it does the most damage of the spells she has available. If you win, you will receive a new orb shield and a chaos mage robe.

Deliver Ella's letter to Prince Ulthar in the castle. He will send you off to Seri to find his friend Rip. Rip apparently is going to help you get a ship so you can sail to the Land of the Lost across the sea, where Ella says that there is a great weapon.

Here you can choose to talk to Prince Nicolas and take him as a party member instead of Gavin (they will not travel together, divas!) Nicolas is well versed in healing and curative spells, whereas Gavin's strength lies in offensive spells. You can only choose to have one of them in your party at a time, but you can switch back and forth. (If you pick Nicolas, Gavin will return to Bogwood. You can travel there and get him again later if you want, or vice versa) I stuck with Gavin.

To get to Seri, you need to go back through the Greystone Pass and Caves area and find the way out of that section back onto the world map outside the desert.

Seri Desert, Seri and the Boat!

I got into exploring last night after I got the boat and didn't write here as I was going, so I have to backtrack now and remember everything I did! Ack! lol.
Ok.. so we left off heading to Seri to find Rip - Uthar's friend, to get a boat and sail to the Land of the Lost to find the weapon that Ella IV talked about.

Before you head into Seri Desert, make sure you're about level 25-28, as the monsters here are definitely tough! Avoid the salamanders if at all possible. Even at level 30 they're quite a handful.

To get to Seri Desert (and then to the city) head back into Greystone Pass and into the caves. One of the exits in the caves will come out in a narrow pass with 2 spiders right outside the door. That's the one you're looking for! Kill the spiders and head to the east, this will take you back onto the world map.

There are some decent treasure chests in the desert, though you might want to book through the desert and get to the city first before exploring in there too much! Head east, follow the path and you'll end up on the world map once again. You'll see the city of Seri in the northeast area of the map.

Go into the city and start exploring. Talk to everyone. In one of the very first houses along the top row, there is a chest with a stick of dynamite. You'll need this later on, so grab it.

Past the first row of houses there is a group of boys fighting in the corner. Break up the fight and talk to everyone involved.

Heading south from that corner, you'll find an open air market. Lots of new equipment to be bought here, it's worth the money and you can head back into the desert, kill a few of the easier mobs and raise funds for all the equipment you need.

Remember where the guy is thats selling sails, you'll need to buy a set later on too.

In the south part of the city, there is a mage guild that Iya can join if you haven't already done the chaos mage challenge. Near the guild is a tavern. Talk to everyone inside and you'll find Rip (who is really Ava One Eye, the Pirate). Explore the Sultan's palace and talk to everyone inside.

When you're ready to go meet Ava in the desert, stock up on restoratives and visit the inn if you need to.

Head back into the desert, follow the path to the west and turn south as soon as the line of trees ends. Ava is in a cave southeast of the entrance. When you find her, she'll ask you for three things.. dynamite (from the house in Seri), an anchor (outside the cave, head all south and a little west and you'll find a chest with the anchor), and sails for the ship. (Head back to Seri to purchase these, as you couldn't buy them before you triggered this scene - you can get pirate sails or imperial sails, makes no difference).

Return to Ava with all of the items and then board the ship! Yay!

Once the ship is out in open water, you can dock it and head back to Seri Desert to find the old woman in the cave. (Northeast corner). She wants a salamander egg and later on you can get a decent prize from her. You can also explore the rest of the desert now and collect all the treasures and get a few levels while you're at it.

Now,
The Land of the Lost

Once you've got the boat, you're free to explore the greater world. The large land mass directly east of Seri is the Land of the Lost, however, once you find the place to dock the ship, you will be informed that you can't access it - a sheer cliff surrounds the entire island and there is no way to climb it! You have to go back and talk to Uthar about what to do.

Sail back around to Thais and talk to Uthar. He will tell you that you need to travel to the oracle in Aveyond to learn how to get into the Land of the Lost. (He mentions Rhen which is a nice touch!)
The way to Aveyond is blocked still though and we need to finish some of the quests before we can get there. In the meantime, sail around towards the south until you find a small city that you can access easily from the ship. This should be the Elf town of Verashema. (On the north side of this island there is an entrance into the woods by a lake, that is the home of the Nymph Serendipity - after you rescue her, you'll need to return here to receive her blessing!) Head into the village and talk to everyone.

There are some great EQ upgrades here, but they are expensive. Good news though, there is a great leveling area right nearby where you can get tons of cash!

Rest up at the inn, upgrade any EQ that you can afford, and buy some restoratives.

Leave the town to the north and find the entrance into the woods on the world map.

Now, be careful, the mobs here aren't chumps. The fire fairies will put your entire party to sleep and or silence them, so avoid the red flying things! The purple dragonflies aren't too bad. When you enter the forest, the first thing you'll see is one purple dragonfly. Kill it. Exit the forest, go back in and kill it again. Over and over until you have enough cash to get the rest of the good EQ.

You can sell rubies and other gems at the general store for a nice amount of gold too.

When you're ready (about level 32ish) head deeper into the forest and go north and take the first east you see. Kill the single red fairy and enter the mines. The mobs in the mines are tough, so level up as much as you can and don't go in too deep, or you won't make it back out!
If you wander around the forest, you can find some treasure chests and head southwest like to find a lone Griffin walking around on a ledge. If you can kill it, you'll get the griffin transfigurine!

If you go all north and then head west, you'll find the nymph - Serendipity, trapped by some evil trolls. It can be a rough battle, so be prepared and save first. Free her and you can get her blessing for Iya!

Kill a few things, go back to town. Rinse and repeat.

I was able to get about 4 levels and 35k in under 30 minutes of doing this! Not bad at all!

When you head deep into the mines, you can find the toolkit that the jeweler in Candar wants. Grab it and bring it back to him later on!

The Way to Aveyond

There is a large island directly south of Ravenwood. On the northern part of the island you will see an entrance into a wooded area. Park the boat here and head into the forest. Pick up the cloak that you see on the ground, you'll need to return it to Gulliver (who is in Verashema).

There is a locked blue chest along the path. Be careful fighting the flying frogs as they have sleep spells that can put your entire party to sleep, but they give decent rewards.

Find the blue rose and pick it, you'll need it back in Verashema again.

In the northern area of the forest, you'll find the entrance to Aveyond, which is blocked, and a small glade with some cute little glow moths flying around.

When you're done exploring here, head back to the boat and sail to the southern part of the island. There is another mountain cave type entrance. Park the boat and head inside. (Careful, the monsters in here are REALLY hard! Save your game often!)

Kill one of the spoons to get a "silver spoon". You'll need that in Verashema too.

If you're having a hard time fighting the mobs here (and they are hard) head east along the path and get into the city (Happily Ever After). You can upgrade your EQ here, rest at the inn and stock up on restoratives. Talk to everyone in the city and you'll discover some interesting things!

Silk can be found in an enchanted forest - need this for Lenora in Candar later.

There is a chest with a drop of nectar in it - need that in Verashama shortly!

When you're done in the town, head into the enchanted forest, north on the worldmap. There are some interesting and hard mobs here that give lots and lots of gold. Find the spider in its cave and it will ask you for some glow moths (ah ha!). If you bring the moths, the spider will give you the bolt of silk!

There are some mini quests around too - the boar thats looking for a wife, who is really a handsome prince who has been cursed by an evil witch!

If you need cash for the new equipment, sell any old, extra stuff you have on hand and head back to the plains to kill a few monsters and raise some funds.

When you're done exploring the town of Happily Ever After and the Enchanted Forest (lots of great treasure there and don't miss the home of the next Nymph who is also missing!) - head back to Verashema. Visit Gulliver's house and give him the cloak you found in the misty forest earlier if you haven't already.

You will see a girl appear in the next room. Talk to her and she'll ask you for three things - the moon flower, a drop of nectar and a silver spoon. She will tell you to go upstairs and mix them in Gulliver's workshop, but he won't let you up the stairs. Travel back to Ravenwood, head to the center of the town and pick up a beast poster.

Bring that back to Gulliver and he'll be tempted to head out to Ravenwood to go see the mysterious beast. Then you can head up to the workshop, mix up the potion and transform the girl to her natural form!

She will tell you where to go next!

Eredar

Once you visit with the Oracle of Aveyond, your quest becomes more challenging.

At this point, you should have the following quests left to complete:

* Bring glow moths to the spider - need to find a bottle.

* Bring silk to Lenora in Candar (after you get the silk from the spider above)
* Get a dragon (yeah ok, no problem.)

* Find Doyle's missing tailor kit (seems trivial now, lol but this is in Dogwort Plains, guarded by the troll and we can't get this til later in the game.)

* Find the rest of the Nymphs for Iya's blessings

* Find an unusual gift for the Sultan

* Find a sonnet for Ulric to get into the secret garden
* Find Aisling (a Nymph)

No problem right? Right!

To get the present for the Sultan, travel back to Seri and buy a rope from the marketplace. Head to Greystone Pass / Caves area, go back to where the big chicken was in the nest and you'll see that its gone. Get the egg and bring it to the sultan! There. One down.

After you talk to Simini, she will give you a love sonnet she wrote for her true love! Take that to Ulric to get access to the secret garden in Candar! Yay! Two down.

Head to Candar, give the sonnet to Ulric and enter the secret garden. You'll meet Ceri, the Nymph of Love who will give her blessing to Iya, though you find out she never lost love from her spirit! The nymph will give Iya a sparkling stone, which is a love blessing and tells her to give it to someone in need. Gee, who could that be.

We still need the tailor kit and a bottle though. Hmm! I think a trip to Bogwood to find a wife for the warthog could help us with the problem!
An Aside....

Now is the point in the game where you can actually buy Grimm's Farm! There are animals available throughout the world - Ryva, possible salamander from that lady in the desert cave in Seri, etc. You don't have to buy the farm, but you need it if you want the romantic ending.

You can also go back to Thais and get Emma from the training area (in the castle) and she will join your party. This is optional though. Emma is the only one that can take part in the fighting tournament in Seri!

I'm going to get Emma, but later head over to Grimm's Farm and see what's what!

This is very cute! After you buy the farm, (for a measly 3000 gold), wander around the orchards and you'll see the giant chicken that was in the nest in Greystone! Kill it for the chicken transifgurine... lol.

Then head to Ryva and buy some chickens and the cow. Then head back to the old woman in Seri Desert and get the salamander she hatched from the egg. If you got the magic beans earlier in the game, you can go back to Happily Ever After and trade them to the girl with the goat (for the goat of course).

Return to your farm and you'll see the animals in their pens. You can even milk the cow and receive Fresh Milk (restores some hp). Very cute!

If you're heading to Happily EVer After to get the goat, might as well do the warthog wife mini quest too. Talk to the warthog, then travel back to Bogwood. Find Hilda and tell her about him. She'll ask for a portrait. Travel back to Happily Ever After and talk to the warthog. He'll give you his portrait. Bring that back to Hilda in Bogwood and she'll zip over to see him. Return again (yeah, it is a bit annoying!) to Happily Ever After and talk to the Warthog. Hilda will appear and kiss him, he'll transform and she'll not be happy! But.. you will get a bottle!

Return to the misty forest where the entrance to Aveyond is and collect some glowmoths. Once again, travel to Happily Ever After and to the forest north of it. Return the moths to the spider and get the bolt of silk! Bring that to Lenora in Candar!

The forest and the plains here are fantastic places to level and build up your cash. The mobs can give upwards of 2200 gold. The spoons sometimes drop a spoon which can be sold for about 1200. The magic mushrooms in the forest will occasionally give elixirs as well! So if you're not completely sick of this place, hang around and get some levels.

Before you leave the area, head back to the witch's house (northern path through the fairytale forest, head east when it reaches the ledge with the stairs) and break the mirror. Inside you'll get a useful key! Head back to the plains and the mirror house that lies in the northern section and use the key!

Before you go into this house.. stock up on elixirs and make sure you have plenty of restoratives, especially for MP. There are small fire mobs throughout the house and the Griffon "growl" attack and Iya's ice / snowstorm attacks will work the best.

Once you get through the maze of mirrors, you will see a blue flame guarding a nymph. SAVE your game here, please! lol. ( I suggest that you don't try this unless you are at least level 46-4

The blue flame is harder than the others in the house and it also will spawn additional embers during the battle. The plan is to take out the big one fast. Use the Griffon growl attack to confuse it and pummel them with ice / snow attacks. (If Iya is high enough in level, you should have the snow attack that will get the entire group of mobs at once. If not, the battle will be much longer!)

Once you defeat the flames, you can rescue the nymph, but you must visit her at her lake (within the fairytale forest) to receive her blessing for Iya! (Stop back in the town to rest at the Inn and stock up on food / potions, etc)

Now would be a good time to take a break from the action and head to Candar to deliver the silk to Lenora. You can even stop in the first house with all the kittens and get one for Iya! (It will be sent to the farm for you later). Rest up at the inn and then.... its time to go find a dragon!
Find the Dragon!

Ouch.. this part is hard, lol.

Before you go into the volcano to get your dragon, you'll want to be at least level 50 and have LOTS and lots of restoratives. Make sure you have lots of elixirs (available in Verashema), lots of MP restores (full ones!) and tons of foods, like venison, cheese and even pumpkin pie (as it gives MP as well as HP). If you have any fire amulets, equip them as all of the mobs inside will do fire attacks.

Save your game often as you progress.

There are lots of treasure chests in here with some great EQ, so make sure you fully explore the entire area.

Remember that once you go into the cave at the end, when you come out, all of the mobs will be back, (unless you talk to the dragon) so you'll need to prepare for at least 2 trips through the mazelike passage.

And please, don't do what I did.. run into the cave at the end and go OOO DRAGON! and run up to talk to one before exploring the room, lol. There are additional chests scattered in the dragon's lair that you definitely want. I had to go back through the entire thing to get them, so explore, THEN talk to the dragon, lol.

When you do talk to the dragon, he will bring you back outside the volcano, so you won't have to run through it to get back out. That's a nice feature. Definitely.

Now you have your dragon and its time for some serious exploration!

Eredar - Land of the Lost
When you fly on your dragon into the Land of the Lost, you can land in several places. There is a mountain cave on the southern part of the island. A forest entrance towards the north and another cave in the northeastern part.

The only one that I could successfully navigate at level 51 was the northern forest entrance. Populated by some familiar monsters from Aveyond: Rhen's Quest, a series of blinking stones set into the mountain will boost you up to the higher levels. Eventually, you will reach the top and when you do, head east. It looks as though the map ends, but if you try to go east, you will come to the city.

Enter the city to find that it is destroyed! Search the area for treasure chests, a silver key, and a small book. Read the book and take it.

Head back down the mountain and heal up.

Take the book to Ru the Historian (back in Thais) and he will get to work on setting her free.

You have to wait awhile until the book is ready so, you can go off and do a few things. Stop by your farm and rest, check on the animals and get some milk from the cow. Wander into the forest nearby and get the golden orb as you should have 10 karma points now, after the last donation in Eredar (the ruined city atop the mountain). This is a weapon (shield really) for Iya and she'll be able to start learning new spells.

Also, if you're in the mood, you can stop in Candar and get your prize from the jeweler. You can also revisit the church there to see Iya and Ean pledge to get married! How sweet.

Anyway.. Head back to Thais and read the book that's on Ru's desk. The nymph will be freed and tell you to visit her at her shrine, which is back at Eredar.

Here is where you have a decision to make.

Land the dragon at the northern side of the island, by the city of Eredar (though outside the mountains that ring it). The mountain cave entrance will lead you way way up to an observatory. You'll meet an odd man there who will tell you about the North Wind. It escaped and he wants you to help him get it.

You can use the bottle that you have from the moth mini quest. When you trap the north wind you can either return it to him and get a useful prize?, or you can use it to move the troll in Dogwort Plains (was it Dogwort? I can't remember now) and get the tailors kit. When you return the kit to the tailor, you can choose between a pair of magic shoes (that guard against magic attacks) or a pair of smelly shoes that.. does something else..
Littlerock Plain

Now is a good time to go and explore Littlerock Plain. This is the forested entrance that is on the southern part of the Land of the Lost continent.

Level 52-53+ shouldn't have much trouble with the mobs here. They give a lot of exp as well, so you will be able to get a few levels easily and Iya can learn some new spells!

Explore the woods and open all of the treasure chests. Towards the southern edge of the plain, you'll see a cave entrance. There are some nasty snake type things wandering through the caves, so make sure you have enough potions and foods to get through it and to return.

The northern and eastern branches are dead ends, but each contains a nice treasure!

The middle path leads to a locked door, but you can open it with the key you found in Eredar. Go through the door and you find yourself in a pristine library! Grab the treasure chest and the papers on the table - these are the blueprints to the secret weapon! You'll have to return them to Uthar so his men can build the weapon.

Once you return to Thais, give Uthar the blueprints and then you'll be informed that the machine needs to have a squirrel operate it! A squirrel, yep! Those militant squirrels seem to have been the occupants of Eredar!

So.. where are we going to find a squirrel?? i'm not sure yet, but I'll post it as soon as I find out!

Restore the Beast

Stop back in Ravenwood and talk to Gulliver, who is looking at the trapped beast. He'll tell you that it is not a beast at all, but a poor man who was transfigured into a beast. When you ask him for help, he tells you to go find an alchemist and get a antiwere salve. Ah ha! There was an alchemist in Happily Ever After! Let's go see her, shall we?

But, since we're in the neighborhood, pop up to Ryva and go to see sick Aunt Nora. Or, well now she's dead Aunt Nora. Talk to Eamon and he'll ask you to go to Ravenwood and tell his sister, Linia. Head back to Ravenwood (which is a simple matter with the dragon!) and inform her of her aunt's death. She'll run back to Ryva. Head back there too! Go back into the house and pick up the paper that's on the floor next to the bed. You'll need this shortly.

When you ask the alchemist for the salve, she will tell you to get her a hair from the beast and some thistleroot. The beast hair should be easy enough to figure out - either the beast in Ravenwood or transform yourself perhaps. lol. The thistleroot is that small damp patch of earth near the waterfall outside Ryva. I've been wondering what was going to grow there! Cool.

Go get those items and head back to the Alchemist. Give her the items and she'll give you the antiwere salve. Travel back to Ravenwood and use the salve on the beast in his cage. Amazingly he'll transform back into one of the missing villagers! Yay!

You won't get any prizes for doing this, but you will get some bonus karma points. In case you didn't donate at every statue, or worse, stole the donations.. here is a chance to redeem yourself.

Now that that is done, it's onto the next step. Stock up on potions and the like, rest at an inn (or sleep at your farm for free!) and then head back to that cave between ravenwood and ryva - the one that says its the entrance to the underworld with the scary looking dude there! You now have a death certificate (from Aunt Nora) and you can give him that to gain entry into the cave. Ooo spooky!
Land of the Dead

You'll enter the cave and find yourself in a spooky forest called Cursed Woods. It's actually quite pretty though the monsters here can be a bit of a headache. There are vampire bats that aren't tough, but resistant to most attacks. Iya's spells won't affect them at all, but you don't want to take her out of the party, as she needs to level so her new spells will gain strength.

In the southwestern corner of the forest there is a transfigured vampire you need to defeat in order to gain the statue.

I removed Gavin for the time being and added Emma. Her fighting skills average about 500 HP of damage against the bats, which is not bad. Iya's new moonlight spells work wonders against the ghosts, so far so good.

If you head vaguely west through the forest, you'll come to a town of ghosts called Casket Hill - very ambient, lol. There is an inn here (only 10 gold!) and some people to talk to. You'll meet dead Aunt Nora, who is upset that her husband, Haliburt, does not recognize her, as he died when they were young and she's now an old woman. You can help her by going back to Ryva and getting a love letter she left in her dresser and bringing it to her. You won't get any prizes from this aside from more karma points.

(Stop and say hi to Tei'jal and Galahad from the first Aveyond - they're standing outside one of the homes in town)

When you're done exploring in the town, head back out onto the world map. Head over the bridge to the north and follow the path until you come to another forest entrance. In here is Twin Moons Plain. The monsters in here might be a bit tough right now, so just try to kill the first one and then head into the cave along the path. You'll meet the militant squirrels!

Apparently they are stuck here in the land of the dead and need the permission of the Lord of Souls to pass back into the other realm. We met him in Casket Hill, so looks like its time to go there again and chat to him.

When you talk to him, he will tell you that he will consider your request to free the squirrel commander's soul if you help him. He lost a memory of his mother and wants you to go get it. One of the residents of Casket Hill mentioned that all memories end up at the Cliffs of Remembrance. Sounds like thats our destination!

Head back to the Twin Moons plain and explore, vaguely south like until you find the cliffs. There you'll find the lost memory. Get it and return it to the Lord of Souls.

He will give you the squirrel commander's soul in return. Go back to the Twin Moons plain and give the soul to the squirrel. He'll join your party as a guest and it's time to take him to see Uthar in Thais. When you arrive at the castle, Uthar and the weapon are down in the training academy, in the basement.

You'll see a video cut scene of the squirrel using the weapon to destroy the barrier around Shaenlir. After the video and the conversations, it's time to leave Thais and head into the wintery lands of the north.

Defeat the Snow Queen

Ok.. this is the end game now and it is going to be rough!

First, we need to head to Winter Pass and capture the North Wind. Either return it to the guy in the Land of the Lost or use it to move the troll and get the tailor's kit, ultimately getting a decent prize either way!

It's definitely worth the time spent to head back into Twin Moons Plain or some other dangerous locale to level up considerably. Make sure Iya has her newest spells to level 3, stock up on as many Aquifolium Extoras and Elixirs as you can possibly carry, make sure your party members have the best EQ you can find.. and head off to Shaenlir.

When you enter the city, you will encounter Thais knights battling the Shaenlir guards. Help them out on your way to the castle. Save your game before you enter the castle (preferably in three slots so you can see all three endings!). Make sure you're fully healed and go talk to the Snow Queen!

At level 77, the battle was a piece of cake. However, the Snow Queen is not your last battle so be prepared.

When the fighting is all over, the Oracle appears and all is won. Choose Ean's path - one of three choices and end the game.
Thistleroot

I have traversed the area around the waterfall outside Ryva several times and cannot find anything that looks like a wet patch. You're talking about the waterfall where the lost book was found, correct? Is this wet patch in the area where the book was found, behind (or above) the fall or across the river from the waterfall? What does a wet patch look like anyway? Thanks for all the walkthrough info -- I'm almost to the end game, so this has helped me tie up some loose ends.

there is another waterfall along the river to the north and west of Ryva. To find it, head north out of the town and go north along the path. You'll see a break to the west where you can walk through the trees and you'll come to a small wooden bridge. Cross the bridge and go down the steps. You'll see the blooming white flower if you've triggered the quest already, if not, you'll see a small round grey patch of soil. It's right near the bottom of the steps

Also, if you look at the map that's on the website, you'll see the spot marked with a pink star.
